We had a day off of orientation classes today so we could attend a local church. So twelve of us headed to a church in Nakuru by matatu (a public transit van). We finally arrived even though our driver did not know where he was going and had to stop for directions several times.

When we arrived, we were greeted by the pastor and asked if we were we prepared to speak. We explained that we were there just to worship with them and then were asked if we were going to present during worship or “just listen”. We said we were planning on just listening today. Somehow, we still ended up being asked to have someone from our group share with the church, so Ben volunteered to share some scripture with the congregation. At the end of the service it was announced that next week we would be teaching Sunday School, sharing in their mission service and performing special music! So at least we have a week to prepare Image may be NSFW.

While we were waiting outside for our matatu to pick us up, we were surrounded by at least 50 kids. After introducing ourselves, the boys became very popular.
Josiah had a crowd of kids who thought his picture Bible was really neat and they were all crowded around looking at it.

Ian had an even bigger crowd surrounding him asking him all kinds of questions. I think he kind of enjoyed all the attention Image may be NSFW.

Gabe had a few guys playing some sort of game with him involving chasing a plastic bag.
What a great morning of worship and building relationships!
